Server problem

Postby Christine Parker » November 5th, 2015, 10:23 pm

I have had various perl scripts on another server to run the various forms on the website, like the email form, ticket order forms and the application form.

The server host company re-configured their cgi-bin setup and a new member reported to me that there was a problem.

I have fixed the problem by just moving the scripts to a more reliable server.

All is now working.

Christine - can I suggest all posts on the forum must be made in the English language?

:D

perl is "Practical Extraction and Reporting Language". It takes data that the web user puts in and then can do various clever things with it, such as generating new webpages with the data

cgi is Common Gateway Interface
it is a standard environment for web servers to interface with executable programs installed on a server that generate web pages dynamically.
